MHKDesigner Inspiration: Mynn + Video Tutorial!

Hello, friends! It's time for me to share another card using products from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! I have another video tutorial on how to create this fun one layer card, so hop over to YouTube take a check it out! Here's my creation...

This card uses the Rosy Elements digital stamp set and the French Country digital paper pack. I created the panel in Photoshop (see the tutorial for details) and then printed it out. Some glitter was added to the flower centers and a few enamel dots added for a bit of dimension.

The finishing touch was to round the bottom corners of my card. I love the way this turned out, and I am excited that it will be super easy to mail--with no extra postage! What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

That's all I have for you today, friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! If you want to learn how to recreate this card yourself, make sure to check out the video tutorial! Also, don't forget to  join in our *NEW* challenge tomorrow for your chance at winning some digital goodies from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends!

Good morning, friends! It's my turn to post a Christmas in July MHKDesigner Inspiration. Every month our Design Team will showcase a project featuring products available in the MHKDesigns Etsy Store.

I've used this set called Wonderful Wreath to make a very vintage Christmas card.

I coloured the wreath with alcohol markers, fussy cut and adhered it to the card with foam tape. And of course, no card of mine is complete without bling.

Come back soon for more inspiration from the rest of the design team. And don't forget to join in our MHKD July Challenge. You have until 31 July 2017 to link up your projects for a chance to win the lovely Fabulous Flowers digital stamps and Twinkle Twinkle Little Dots digital paper pack.

Hello, friends! As you know by now, this month we are celebrating Christmas in July! It's my turn to post, and I've got a fun tag that uses digital stamps from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop. Take a peek...

This tag uses an image from the Deck the Halls digital stamp set. I colored the image with various Sakura gel pens, including a metallic green pen to outline the leaf veins and a red Glaze pen for the berries. I love the shine and texture it adds!

The sentiment, also from the Deck the Halls digital stamp set, was punched out and layered, then some liquid pearls were added around the scallop circle matting. Some ribbon, a button, and some twine decorate the top of the tag. So fun!

I decided to add some eyelets to the holes punched in this tag to keep it from tearing and I also rounded the corners of the bottom of the tag to mirror the scallop matting of the sentiment. I am super happy with how this turned out! What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

That's all I have for you today, friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! I always love to hear from you, so please do let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Also, don't forget to join in our challenge for your chance at winning some digital goodies from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends!

MHKDesigner Inspiration - Jessica Kaiser

Hello friends!

It's Designer Jessica here with my turn to share a new creation for MHKDesigns!  I always print off extra digis to keep in my stash for when I get the urge to color. This card was created from one of those moments!  Here is what I created:

I chose to feature the sentiment from a stamp set called "Various Vehicles" for my monthly creation! I really wanted to create a masculine card and I felt that focusing on the sentiment and adding the black glitter paper was a perfect match! I did a little water coloring effect over the sentiment and chose a "grass" patterned paper for the background!

I hope you love this card. See ya next time!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Julie

Shake, shake, shake!  Hi, friends, it's Julie here today sharing some Christmas season inspiration in the form of a shaker card.  I always think they are so fun!

I used MHKDesigns Deck The Halls digital stamp set for the holly and the sentiment.  The papers, also from MHKDesigns, are Simply Seasonal Digital Papers

Have you entered this month's MHKDesigns challenge yet?  It's anything goes, as long as you use an MHKDesigns image.  We're not quite 1/2 way through the month, so there's still plenty of time.  Check out the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook Group, too, for even more inspiration. #mhkdesigns is now on Instagram, too!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Shawna

Hello All,

Summer is in full swing! So there is no better time than July to start thinking about Christmas. So here is my 'festive' card for today, enjoy!!

It is hard to believe that this card is using only one set. It is full of detail, charm, and the colors of Christmas.  The MHKDesigns Country Farm digi paper acts as a wash to the overlay crackled backdrop finish.

______________________________
MHKDesigns vintage images work so well with each other.
I invite you to check out her Etsy store and see for yourself
the versatility of stamp sets and the variety of digital papers we have to offer
______________________________
This card is all wrapped in a pretty little bow!
I thought it was a nice touch for a whimsical card.
Another whimsical touch is the garland and gems draped on the card.
It adds a bit of sparkle and shine without being overbearing.
Perfect for Christmas.

The sentiment is colored with gray and silver colored pencil.
I like to use gray first because it allows the silver to shine more vibrantly.

Since you are here, I encourage you to browse our blog and see more inventive ideas from our design team. It is our hope that you can play along with our monthly challenge. If not, just enjoy a bit of eye candy.

There is a lot more to discover at MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Stop on over and see what we have to offer. It is certain to spark the imagination. So, thank you for stopping by and hope to see you soon. Take care and happy crafting.

MHK Designer Inspiration - Rocky

This month we are celebrating all things seasonal so I have chosen to make a special tag for a special gift. For this tag I have used two image sets, Season's Greetings and Deck The Halls, along with a paper set Christmas Past.
To begin I covered a tag with a paper from Christmas Past and coloured the edges, then printed the stocking from Deck The Halls and Father Christmas from Season's Greetings. The stocking I die cut tag shaped, coloured and then used embossing powder to decorate the edge. Father Christmas was die cut on a circle and mounted behind a die cut frame.
Father Christmas was stuck flush on to the large tag but the small tag was stuck on using foam pads, making sure the holes lined up. To finish I have added ribbons, twine and a gold bell.

Season's Greetings
Deck the Halls

Christmas Past

Don't forget our challenge gives you the chance to win some MHK Designs sets and you don't even have to use our images to enter, but of course we would love it if you did.
Happy Crafting,

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Judy

Hello!
It's my day to share a little inspiration here at

This month all of the designers are celebrating
"Christmas in July".

So let's get those Christmas projects started
if you haven't already because the holidays
will be here before you know it!

I created a card using

This is just one of many great Christmas/Holiday themed sets at

I started by printing the image twice.
One was colored with markers and fussy cut.

Next I fussy cut the 2nd image and cut apart
the colored image. I adhered the colored image to the uncolored one
to give a little dimension with some foam tape.

I chose a background paper, cut into a panel and double matted
with solid card stock and adhered to card base.
I added a die cut circle to back the image.
The sentiment was printed, cut, matted
and placed near the bottom of the card.
I added some pearls to finish.

I hope I've provided just a little motivation you need to get
started on your holiday cards!

Until next time
Happy Crafting!
